First time hatching ever! Made some mistakes even after researching plenty. 6 out of 11 that made it to lockdown hatched on day 19. 5 are still viable, giving them an extra day or 2.
Updated: please stop blaming seller for broken eggs, or hatch rate. For a fertile egg to hatch a lot of factors need to align. So many things go into it (how quickly you put the eggs in the incubator, your humidity level, your weather, the room you put them in, your incubator, your electricity, how often you turn them, etc, etc) blaming a low hatch rate on the seller is so far from accurate. I read every single 1, 2, 3, star review and they all sound like people trying to blame their poor hatch on someone else. 4 and 5 star reviews were read and seemed more accurate and informed assessments.

I was sent 16 eggs and out of that only 7 where fertile three passed away on days 9 and 10 not sure why no problems at all with the incubator so I think it might have something to do with shipping never know sometimes but at hatch time two hatched out all by them selves and two got stuck and couldn’t get out of the egg after they pipped so I pulled them out they carried the egg behind them for a few hours until I had to cut umbilical cord now they are thriving I have 2 brown two yellow they are more then worth 25$

or my first time ever hatching anything: so far we have 9/12 eggs hatched and healthy, preparing the brooder as of now ~ I’ve been relentlessly checking on them in between work and am so happy to say all the reviews on here helped greatly! The color diversity is super surprising so I’m hoping to see them shine through as they grow???? and shipping was fantastic, not a single crack or broken egg! definitely will buy again and recommend to anyone looking for quail

Ordered 12 got 15!!!!
Very well packaged…. Had 3 infertile, 1 died about day 9 remaining 11 made it to successful hatch!!!
Had 8 hatch with no issues on day 16, had 2 more had to assist with on day 17 after 24 hours after pipping…..one straggler pipped late on day 18 but son helping one of the earlier day 17 chicks had left the incubator partially open!!! Had to help him out of shrink wrapped condition but he appears to be very healthy and about to move to brooder!!!!
All in all very happy for $15!!!!!

We ordered 12 eggs. We received 14 intact beautiful quail eggs. That in itself was a pretty quality bonus I guess just in case one were to break or like in our case where one was not fertilized. Out of the 13 that were fertile one did have an issue while hatching and died. This may have been a humidity issue or any other number of factors. Our remaining dozen are so healthy and beautiful. It is really neat to see how all of their markings have changed over the last month. Coming up on the four week mark, they are still so different in all of their markings. There is not two of them that are alike. We did not expect the variety and the beauty from what we thought to just be simple birds. They are so much more and very entertaining. We did a lot of research and prepared ourselves for hatching them and raising them. We just never saw the range of color markings and patterns anywhere in our research. If I ever order more eggs I know exactly where to get them. Arrived just as they said they would safe and in a timely fashion and again they are some of the most beautiful birds I’ve ever seen.

Hatch rate was about 90-95% I ordered only planning to receive 12 and they graciously gave me 15. Day 17 of incubating all 11 quail hatched. It could have been 12 but unfortunately I failed to assist 1 egg in time that zipped but couldn’t push through. Had I not been scared to help I would’ve had 12. Today is day 18 and I still have 3 in the incubator that has not hatched yet so I’m still waiting to see the results for those. Overall a great buy. Will be buying from this seller again!

Half the eggs were viable but I must have made some big mistake, because the other half had chicks but they didn’t make it. It’s only my 2nd time & I’m sure the problem lies with something I did.

I made two purchases from this store. The first time, none of the eggs hatched due to a poor incubator. However, the second time, after changing the incubator, 11 out of 14 eggs successfully hatched.

SO happy with my purchase!! Arrived 6 days after purchase with 16 eggs (likely due to possible failures which I was grateful for) and all looked great!! We had 13 of the chicks hatch day 18-20 and I checked the remaining 3 eggs and they were all fertile so it’s likely due to my incubator being pretty cheap. 3 quail did not survive but the 3 that did not make it hatched late and had trouble doing so which happens with quail not all make it. We ended up with 10 healthy chicks and I could not be happier it was such a successful hatching and it was so cheap I will 100% be coming back if I ever choose to incubate again and I’m sure if I i eat in a better incubator my success rate will be even higher 🙂
